Here And There
Judy Mary Seward and Pauline Miles recently held an exhibition titled Here & There. The exhibiting works were inspired by a trip to Ireland.
Here & There, an exhibiton of new works by Judy Mary Seward and Pauline Miles was opened on the 17th of August.
It recently finished on the 2nd of September and was inspired by a trip to Ireland taken by the two artists.
They took an exhibiton titled Up Under Down Over to Ireland featuring theirs and other artists' work from Freight Gallery.
When they returned, the two artists created art that drew on their experiences of the Irish culture.
Pauline Miles' art reflected her experiences with the hospitality, history and way of life in Ireland. The works of Seward were inspired by the landscape and environmental elements that make up Ireland.
The variety of materials used included ink on canvas, oil and acrylic paintings, stitched and painted canvas, ink on rag paper, stitched grass sculptures, felted wool brooches, wired and plaster sculptures and coiled grass-rope baskets.
