IntE-grate is a compact program supported through DADAA, which has a focus on skill development and providing a positive experience for people with disabilities. IntE-grate targets both young school leavers and older people who have a disability.


DADAA’s vision is to have a culturally enriched community inclusive of people with disabilities/disadvantages.

The organisation has a commitment to facilitating participation in activity that is meaningful to the individual, which provides valid occupation and valued roles. DADAA uses arts and cultural activities to achieve these outcomes.

IntE-grate is a compact program supported through DADAA, which has a focus on skill development and providing a positive experience for people with disabilities.

IntE-grate targets both young school leavers and older people who have a disability.

At IntE-grate the emphasis is on providing opportunities to:

  • pursue a range of personal options that enhances choice and decision making,

  • develop a responsive individualised plan,

  • maintain and strengthen social networks,

  • support participation in community,

  • maintain and develop skills,

  • provide opportunities for self expression,

  • assist in keeping a healthy life style and

  • Enhance self-esteem and independence.

The program developed with IntE-grate is engaging, challenging and stimulating to the senses and intellect, extending the physical and cognitive capacities of consumers. The importance of the relationship between the individual, peers and staff is never overlooked. The staff of IntE-grate has been able to create an environment, which empowers the individual and their family. The social supports within this environment are considered to be one of the key factors in enabling individuals to successfully explore their personal options.
