IT’S DUCK SEASON AT DADAA!!!
DADAA Duck Ducks with Attitude Auction and Exhibition
26th September to 5th October 2007
100 colourful, clever and comedic ducks will be up for grabs at DADAA Duck Ducks with Attitude Auction
and Exhibition on Friday, 5th October.
Leading artists have turned their creative capabilities to wooden ducks – yes, DUCKS - decorating them
with paint, buttons, ribbons, glitter, enamel, you name it… Sculptors have carved bits, lost bits, and added
sound and movement… the creative ideas are amazing.
DADAA Duck Ducks with Attitude Auction and Exhibition will help 2,000 people who have a disability and/or
mental illness gain access to the arts and their local culture.
All proceeds from the auction and sale will support DADAA to implement initiatives and programmes to
extend and provide arts and disability resources across WA.
So what is DADAA Duck Ducks with Attitude Auction and Exhibition?
Imagine a flock of leading WA artists like Simon Gevers, Cecile Williams, Minaxi May, Evi Ferrier and David Giles,
add 80 vibrant, extremely talented DADAA artists … Honestly, come and see the great ducks they’ve hatched!
Where and when?
The Auction and exhibition will be at DADAA’s Freight Gallery, 21 Beach Street, Fremantle
(opposite the East Street Jetty).
You can preview the ducks from 26th September 2007; the auction takes place at 7pm on Friday, 5th October.
