The project is complex and revolves around the central aims of assisting the participants to connect to their communities through arts and culture.
The project is designed to have six month cycles that begin with in-house workshops offering participants two and three dimensional visual arts, dance and music.
The project is designed to work with local government and other interested community stakeholders.
Each project participant or storyteller will be offered the opportunity to make a short film.
Three coordinators with community development, artistic and organisational skills provide the link between core participants/storytellers, families, Disability Services Commission staff, arts and film teams, community members and local government.
The Exhibiton takes place from October 19 to November 4 at the Bank Gallery, Midland.
