To extend the viewing life of the films and place them in the context of the project, this exhibition will screen all 49 films against a backdrop that explores the changes in perception towards people with intellectual disabilities from the European settlement of Western Australia in 1829 until present.

City of Bunbury Shorelines Festival

The City of Bunbury’s inaugural Shorelines Festival kicks off on the 7th of October. As part of this innovative “writing for performance” event, DADAA (WA)’s regional project About Face is set to screen their exciting multi-media performance titled “The Race for Red Mary”. Participants Luke Baruffi, Maureen Wright, Jim Hayes and Andrew Mclean, Liz Anderson, Rachel Kalaf from the About Face writers workshop, held at Bunbury’s Stirling Street Arts Centre, have been busy working in conjunction with local playwright Margot Edwards on this dynamic and highly entertaining piece since July 2006.
Bridging The Gap
