Arts and Cultural Inclusion Training Package
The Arts and Cultural Training package's main objective is to develop a community inclusion around arts and cultural activities.
The purpose of the training is to guide people working with people with disabilities to:
- Move from a caring and/or social training model to facilitators of community connections and inclusion
- Give practical steps to help individuals to connect with other community members and develop natural support networks
- Develop skills that allow the development and maintenance of meaningful relationships
- Encourage individuals to use existing skills and develop personal competencies in community settings
The Arts and Cultural Inclusion Training Package is also about developing community awareness and shifting attitudes of other community citizens and groups to help support inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities as active community members.
